About the Department
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Apollo Institute of Engineering and Technology has commenced its journey in the year 2014.The department offers Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 60 intake capacity from the year 2019. Mechanical engineering basically involves the study of the core concepts of mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, materials science, structural analysis, and electricity.
Dedicated faculty members of the department are actively involved in research work in different fields of Mechanical and Industrial engineering. The laboratories and workshops in the department have the best equipments and are maintained impeccably. Constant and careful attention to the departmental infrastructure has immensely helped in keeping it up-to-date, thus equipping the students with the necessary tools to acquire technical knowledge.
The Department has very good industry-institute interaction and organizes technical expert talks and industrial visits for students periodically to furnish an opportunity for the students to interact with working professionals from industry. Students are provided with co-curricular value added training from fifth semester to train them to get jobs in core sector, the students are encouraged to build leadership and managerial qualities by the way of active participation in organizing seminars and workshops.
